Privacy Policy

Kinnik Grid is an independent puzzle-book imprint. We keep data collection to the bare minimum: this page explains exactly what we collect, why, where it lives, and the rights you have over it.

Who is responsible

The data controller is the operator of Kinnik Grid. For any privacy request you can reach us at patrizio.pascucci@gmail.com, or simply reply to any email we send you.

What we collect, and why

We only collect personal data when you choose to give it to us through one of two forms:

• Newsletter sign-up: your email address. We use it to send you occasional news (for example, when a new book ships). Nothing else.
• Companion-page unlock: entering a book’s secret word is anonymous. If you optionally tick the box to also join the list, we store your email address as above.
• Solvers’ roll: after solving a puzzle on this site you can optionally sign it with a name or nickname. That name is shown publicly next to your solver number, so please do not use your full real name. Solve counts are kept unique with a salted, one-way hash; your raw IP is never stored there. Want a signature removed? Just email us.

With each submission we also automatically record a few technical details to prevent abuse and keep basic records: the date and time, your IP address, and your browser’s user-agent string.

Legal basis

We process your email on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the form. The technical details (IP, user-agent, timestamp) are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in securing the site and preventing spam.

Where your data is stored

• On our hosting provider’s server, in a private file that is not publicly accessible.
• A durable copy of sign-ups is forwarded to a private Google Sheet. Google acts as a processor; see Google’s own privacy terms for how they handle data.

We never sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Cookies & tracking

The public site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across other sites. The only cookie used anywhere is a strictly necessary session cookie inside the private admin area, which visitors never reach.

How long we keep it

We keep your email for as long as you stay subscribed. Ask us to remove it at any time and we will delete it promptly. Anti-abuse technical logs are kept only as long as needed for that purpose.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• have it corrected or erased;
• withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time;
• object to or restrict processing;
• lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be highlighted in our next dispatch.
